About Liv

My name is Alexa Young

Olivia (Liv) discovered her passion for baking and decorating unique cupcakes and handcrafted sweets at just 13 years old. Fast forward to 2019, she turned her hobby into a successful business at only 21 years old. Completely self-taught, Liv spent her free time perfecting her craft. On August 10, 2019, she opened Liv For Sweets Bakery in Pilot Mountain, which quickly became popular for its delicious creations. A four-time winner at the 2020 Queen City Cupcake Festival and recipient of many other awards, Liv continues to expand her menu with exciting new flavors, delighting her community and beyond.

What’s next for Liv For Sweets? Liv dreams of opening multiple locations so even more people can enjoy her treats.

Take a look at our daily menu before you visit! Our flavors change monthly. If you’re planning to stop by after 2 p.m. to grab cupcakes from our case, I highly recommend pre-ordering since our top sellers tend to sell out quickly. And don’t miss out on our Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookies—they're my favorite!

For smaller events, it’s always a good idea to order a bit extra. My pro tip: go for a smaller centerpiece cake and then mix it up with a variety of treats like cookie sammies, cakesicles, brownies, and more!
